As a massage therapist we are here to assist the body to do what it was created to do, heal itself. Massage is the perfect instrument to guide the body to relax into homeostasis (balance).
I attended a course to become one of the first Massage Therapists in the nation trained in Graston Technique, a bodywork technique previously reserved for licensed physicians and physical therapists. I have a passion to teach people the importance of massage on the human body. I teach my clients ways to continue treatment even after they are off my table.
I am originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan where I attended the Blue Heron Academy of Healing Arts and Science and graduated as a Therapeutic Massage Therapists.

Ryan McCarty arrived at the world of massage therapy by a unique journey. For 27 years he was a minister, meeting the needs of others day in and day out until after a quarter century he found himself the one in need of rest and restoration. Encouraged by his oldest daughter, he went back to school at Indiana Wellness College to pursue a certification as a massage therapist. Ryan discovered that his passion to serve others was just as fulfilled in providing a therapy to them through the use of various massage techniques.
Not only was this a way to meet the needs of people, but massage was also the perfect avenue to include Ryan’s lifelong commitment to fitness, both as an athlete and as a coach. Having played multiple sports in high school and college, participated in powerlifting, and completed three full marathons and a half Ironman, he is no stranger to soreness and sports injuries. His personal physical strength has allowed him to specialize in deep tissue massage as well as sports massage and stretching.

I love the field of massage therapy because it can be versatile, effective, and rewarding for both me and my clients! I have a passion to help others and one of the ways I try to do so is by helping the body reduce pain, improve circulation, and increase function through various techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, cupping and stretching.
Learning different techniques and tools is exciting for me as I continuously improve as a massage therapist! I tend to focus on managing chronic pain, treating postural imbalances, and assisting in injury recovery. When I'm not working, I'm probably with my sweet pup, Pyxis, or looking silly practicing ice skating!

You are not broken. The human body is incredibly adaptive and will take on habits (even undesirable ones) to withstand your unique lifestyle. You do not have a “bad” body. You have a resilient body that is fighting for equilibrium. Massage therapy has given me the tools to help you achieve that balance. Proud IWC Alumni

I’ve always been interested in spirituality, healing naturally and working with energy. I’ve slowly built my energy work practice over the past 10 years. My energy work knowledge and experience started with Reiki, sending myself, family and friends Reiki energy when needed, which soon grew into reiki sessions. After using Reiki just a few times I knew it was some thing I wanted to dive deeper into and share with the world. I love how it makes me feel. After practicing Reiki for several years, I discovered Orgone energy. Orgone is a life force energy that restores balance and revitalizes the body. The results I’ve seen from Orgone is nothing short of amazing.
Not long after, I discovered Donna Eden energy medicine. It is a modality that works with the eight energy systems in our bodies, much like acupressure. The energy systems I work with are the meridians, the chakras, the aura, Celtic wave, basic grid, five rhythms, triple warmer and strange flows. I started incorporating these energy moves into my reiki sessions which took my practice to the next level.
Around the same time I was also introduced to EFT tapping which taps on the acupressure points were emotional energy is stored in our bodies. EFT tapping releases that stagnant energy, allowing energy to flow again. EFT tapping has been a fundamental tool for releasing heavy emotions and long held beliefs for me and my family.
I love being able to restore balance and well-being to the body, mind and spirit without using chemicals and harsh treatments.
During an energy session I will use a combination of these energy modalities, along with several energy tools, to release stored emotions / energy blockages, restore balance / flow and bring health & happiness back into your life.

Struggling on this rollercoaster we call life? Are you consumed with thoughts and feelings you're unsure how to manage? Maybe you don't feel like there's anyone you can turn to or that anyone in your life cares. You don't have to handle this alone. I use approaches from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, trauma-informed care, and Person Centered Theory to help my clients set goals, break down bad habits like negative thinking patterns, and connect to themselves again through mindfulness and emotion regulation. I provide an open, down-to-earth environment where we focus on you and work together to get you where you want to be in life. I strive to connect and build trust with each of my clients while uplifting them and normalizing their experiences. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master of Social Work from Ohio University in southeast Ohio and have been practicing therapy since then. I've worked with clients of all ages and backgrounds on a variety of mental health issues. I really love working with teens and young adults struggling with academics, relationships, transitions in school, and other life stressors. My goal is to support others in ways I wish I had been supported at that time of my life. Outside of therapy, I love to be outdoors, spend time with my puppy, and play a variety of games. You've taken the first major step toward your goals just by searching for a therapist who best fits you! This journey can be scary and overwhelming at first. Opening up your heart to others makes you vulnerable - trust me, I know! I am here to support you 100% of the way and can't wait to meet you. Feel free to reach out when you are ready!

I am new to the world of Massage Therapy. I have always had a passion for self improvement, helping others, and making people feel better. I graduated from UIUC with a degree in communications. I proceeded to move to Indiana and decided to get into lifting and bodybuilding. As I learned more about the body, I realized I wanted to expand that knowledge in other areas as well and chose to learn more about Massage Therapy. I then decided I would attend IWC to improve my skills and knowledge and turn massage therapy into my career. That leads me to today, I am now attending IWC for massage therapy and Muscle Mobility was kind enough to help me on my journey allowing me an environment to gain experience in the field of massage therapy and an environment to help with my learning. I am here to help in any way I can and learn along the way, and the more I learn the better I’ll be able to contribute to those around me and help make things a little bit easier for everyone.
